This article is a review of the power pole style anchor. Pole Style Anchors are subcategory of shallow water anchors.

The Power Pole Style is affixed to the rear, or transom, of the boat. It is light in its craft, and hydraulic, and it is of light nautical design. No more of the old days, hauling a heavy, iron anchor over the side, or dispatching it, only to have it hit the bottom with a solid, loud thunk, thus scaring all the fish away. This mooring device is activated by the touch of a button.

It is known for its three characteristics. It is swift. It is silent. And, it is secure.

The greatest advantage of this lightweight anchor is quick reaction time. As a fisherman scans the surface of the water for the telltale sign of a fish nibbling at a fly, his ability to move fast is everything- whether he catches the fish, or not. This anchor does its job, quickly, as the fisherman nears his target, because it is hydraulic. And, because it is that, it is also silent.

Its hydraulic action allows the anchor to slip beneath the surface of the crucial area of water being fished, thus not disturbing the angler’s targeted fish. Because the shallow water device is hydraulic, its most efficient feature, the fish is not alerted, or afraid. The anchor doesn’t make enough noise for that. In addition, its lightweight design deploys easily, quickly, and quietly.

Although this anchor is intended for shallow water, its finest feature – hydraulic technology, also called Ever Flex, holds the boat firmly in place. It is strong.

Another advantage of this anchor can be understood, historically; when most people think of an anchor, there’s lots of rope involved. After it sits in the silt of a lake bottom, for awhile, the fisherman hauls it in with lots of extra stuff, like lily pads, mud, and the like. Power Pole is patented technology that is clean, and does not involve any detritus from the ocean floor. Therefore, it makes less of a mess, and even helps avoid injurious fall caused by a wet, muddy boat floor.

In short, this is the perfect invention for fisherman. It mounts easily on the transom of the boat, near to the outboard motor. It utilizes the same bolt holes as the motor, and so is out of the way, neat, and convenient. The anchor is available in red, white, blue, black, and chrome. In addition, it truly is cutting edge technology.
