I think it is a fair statement to say that there are more men than women who use an electric razor to shave. All you have to do is check out your local store. When you do, you will notice that there are twenty or thirty different types of electric shavers for men, but there will be only one or two electric razors for women. Most men that use electric shavers are very happy with the results the receive. For women it is a different story. When it comes to underarm and leg hair, most women skip the electric razor in favor of the traditional shavers.
I can remember using an electric shaver for the first time when I was a teenager. It was not a very pleasant experience. I think one of the big problems was that the electric razor I was using was my moms, and it was older than me. Since then, I have always used a traditional shaver and never considered using an electric shaver until recently. Just this past Mother’s Day, my mom asked me for a new women’s electric shaver. Apparently my mom had still been using the same electric razor I tried shaving with when I was still a teenager. I was happy to buy her a brand new shaver, but I was amazed the old shaver lasted this long.
What really surprised me was how difficult it was to find her a brand new womens shaver. The electric shavers for men were easy to find, but after searching around a bit I finally found the electric razors for women. However, there were only two on display. I ended up getting mom the one that she could use in the shower and it was also rechargeable. After I got it home, mom loved it and she has been using it problem free since then.
What I learned later on was that you can find a much larger selection of electric razors for women on the Internet. A close friend of mine reminded me of this, and when I did a search I was surprised at the large selection of women’s electric shavers there were to choose from. However, if you are going to buy anything on-line, take some time to do a little research first. Read the customer reviews, and see what other people who have bought these shavers have to say before you pull out your credit card.
