Boot/binding overhang?
I just got a new K2 Luna, 146 cm long. I didn’t really pay attention to the width because I thought I’d be fine.
I just put on my medium size LTD bindings and stepped in with my size 9 boots. My heels overhang what looks to be like 2 inches, and the toe about a half inch when the bindings are nearly set straight.
This worries me, though I tilted the board back and I have quite a bit before my heels would drag. My old board was not much wider and I never noticed if there was overhang with that… The boots are a little big and I might go down to a size 8, but the bindings still overhang a little. The medium is what they sold me a couple years ago.
Am I going to run into a problem in the park and all-mountain? Is some overhang ok? I’m not a bigfoot!
Wait so does the back of the binding overhang? or just your boot?, the front of the binding most of the time they overhang a little bit maybe like half an inch, that shouldn’t be a problem. Also if your boots feel a bit big than you got the wrong size you want your boots to feel a little tight your feet shouldn’t be able to move around much cause eventually after enough use those boots are going to end up even looser.
Did you set your binding on centered? by center I don’t mean center of the board you can push the bindings up for a forward lean or back.
Also what are your binding angles at? you could try adjusting those as well.
