How bad is it to have bindings that are longer than my snowboard is wide?
its like a half inch difference on both sides if the binding is setting perfectly straight on the board. i have not assembled it yet cause i have to figure out my riding stance angles. do you think this will be a major problem? having bindings that are slightly too big for my board?
well chances are the bindings aren’t gonna be like that when you mount them, 0,0 is not typically a setup people use. Once you get your bindings set up the bindings won’t be hanging over as much. When your mounting them you need to have your boots with you so you so you can check toe/heel drag. A little bit of boot overhang is ok, but a lot is more than likely going to cause to drag for you. If you find your getting toe drag, you can do a few things to help get rid of it:
ride with ducked out binding angles: 15,15, 18,18, etc.
move your bindings back on the board a little bit. Check the baseplate on your bindings you should see an inch or two where you can put your screws to slide them towards the toe/heel edge
