Snowboarding for 3-4 years and still dont understand snowboard terms.?
I have actually been snowboarding for about 3-4 years. I can do blue diamonds pretty well, and have done a couple of black diamonds. (this is at a big mountain..sugarloaf in maine)
So the problem is….anytime i go to a store too look at new equipment, they always ask me stuff. like what kind of a rider am i…like freestyle. I dont even know what that is. (i sound so stupid)
Also, how do i know if a binding or board is good, besides by brand
LIke what do you look for in a board or binding and what does it mean.
I know that if your board is pretty flexible, its usualy for beginer.
So basically i need help in learning about equipment and just snowboard terms
(if it helps, i am gunna start going into the trerrain park this ear)

For starters, Freestyle riding is where you ride to do tricks, all mountain is where you pretty much ride anything, and powder, is powder riding.
Depending on what kind of riding you do, different board qualities are better than others.
If you ride in the park, you would want yout board to be more flexible, smaller, and lighter to be able to perform tricks easier.
Stiffer boards are used for all mountain riding and racing.
If you want to learn more about terms, you should subscribe to a snowboarding magazine, you would pick terms up fast.
