Snow goggles: What’s the difference between Spherical vs Cylindrical lenses?
What are the differences between spherical and cylindrical goggle lenses? I’ve heard spherical has better peripheral vision but are more expensive but i’m not sure. Any info would be appreciated. Thx in advance!
Not much of a difference in peripheral vision. The big difference is in optics. The spherical is shaped after the curvature of the eye thus creating less eye fatigue and less distortion. It is more expensive to build ie. the higher price tag. Cylindrical is cut form a flat piece of polycarbonate, works well but not quite as good as cylindrical.
