How do football players play with no gloves in snow?

i was watching last weeks monday night game and noticed that brett favre and others werent wearing gloves during the game despite it snowing and being cold. Ive played in games where its been snowing outside and my hands were almost frozen. does anybody know how they do it? somebody told me players use a gel that numbs their hands so they cant feel anything?

QB’s don’t like to wear gloves, because they can’t “feel” the ball. I remember one game when Joe Montana was playing for the KC Chiefs. The windchill was well below zero and he tried to play with gloves on. They went 3 and out. Needless to say when he came back out again, no gloves. That’s why they wear the little “fanny pack” . They keep warmers in them. I would find it almost impossible to do though.
