Skidoo wont run right?

i have a 1998 skidoo summit. and i have cleaned the carbs and made sure they are set right.. It starts and idles but it cuts in and out when i give it gas and try to take off and it reves up a bit but then cuts out and then once it idles down it kicks back in again and then it does that same over again. it did that when the tail ligth was in so i took it out and it quit and now it is doing it again. any idea of what it is
