How do i even begin to snowboard?
like what gear is right for me? i’m almost 14. height 5ft 3in i weigh 107 pounds. so which board is right for me? plus i’m a total beginner, i only have the idea because lots of my relatives live in snowy areas.
oh by the way my foot size is 6 in womens
all you really need is a waterproof snowboarding jacket, snowboarding pants, waterproof gloves and goggles. since its your first time boarding you should rent. so if you don’t like the sport, which happens every now and then, you don’t have to buy a board, bindings and boots.
the people at the mountain will size you for your board, which should come between your chin and eyes. for you, thats roughly 149 or around there I THINK. and as for boots, since your 6 you should probably get 6.5. i buy all my boots .5 above my size in case i grow and it gives you a little extra room
get some good lessons and pay attention to them too. everything falls into place around the third time you go so you have to be real patient.
