I was convicted with possession of paraphernalia back when i was 16 now im 19. Is the charge still on records?
when i was 16 years old i made some mistakes which lead to a paraphernalia charge on my records. i’m now 19 years old and i was wondering if the charge is still on my records? because i once heard someone say that when someone turns 18 years old, it automatically erases from your records. i dont know if this is true.
this charge was because i was with a group of friends and one of them had a weed pipe in their glove compartment. we crashed the car and when the cops came and searched the car none of us admitted to having the pipe, so they charged us all.
SIDE NOTE: i do remember the magistrate not even giving me community service or anything, for that matter. she said she didnt believe the pipe belonged to me, but following that she said it would still me on my record.
can someone help me out?

It depends. If you went through a regular JP court, it is still on your record, but is much harder to obtain than say a felony on your record. If you are applying for college or a job, and they feel the charge is a concern, they will bring it up in an interview, and you can explain what you just said. But, if you went through a Teen Court program or something along those lines, it is off your record when you complete the punishment. I hope this was helpful to you.
