The Picture of Dorian Gray novel comparison?
I need to write a comparative essay between “The Picture of Dorian Gray” and another novel. This other novel can be similar to Dorian Gray in theme, characters, plot, etc.
Anyone have any ideas for my second novel?
Dorian Gray basically has to do with soul corruption, capturing life in art, influences of other people, and moving from good to evil.
Sorry, I nearly forgot.
This second novel must have been written after World War Two.
Maybe something by Camus, like The Plague. The thesis for your essay could be how Dorian Gray, written before the war, was the cause of his own demise, while The Plague, written after the war, kills millions and seems to kill randomly without questioning the morality of the victims.
