Morrow Kick

Who thinks the Stars got ripped off tonight?
I do.
1st disallowed goal: not a kick, should have been good.
2nd disallowed goal: right call, but there should have been a penalty on the play because the reason it went of his hand was that Morrow was cross-checked from behind by Rivet.
The game potentially could have been 4-0 at one point
I’m not even a stars fan
in fact, i took SJ players in my hockey pool… but from watching that game, I felt like the Stars were more deserving of the win and got shafted
love how people get so defensive
ok maybe i’m over-reacting but…
gotta love the fact that ‘yourmom’ said to stop whining and accept the result then linked to his question of him complaining about the sharks goal that was disallowed earlier in the season. Way to not be hypocritical there chief.
The first no goal was questionable, but there is one big thing Morrow did wrong that gives the outcome credibility.
If he had pointed his skate forward it would no doubt be a goal, but as he swept his foot in toward the goal… you know the rest.
This sweeping was unneccesary, it was no slowing his momentum at all, his body had already stopped moving, he was just spinning to avoid the net, yet he left his foot flat as opposed to spinning. It is hard to tell whether he meant to do this, but he did see the pass/shot come toward him.
Knowledge of the pass, unneccesary sweep, and you’ve got more than enough evidence to overturn the goal.
Not a great call, or even a good one, but it was not a horrible all. I’ll rank it as Poor. Saying that 7 times out of 10 it would have been ruled goal.
Ripped off? No. The Stars had the Sharks reeling, yet they let them come back in. And just you note, the Sharks had goal 2 up with just under 9 min to play. There is a high probability they would have put enough rubber on goal to score in that time period.
I say it’s more a case of tough luck than ripped off.

Dead Man on Campus $19.99 Well, it’s a good idea. Dead Man on Campus had the potential to be a classic dark comedy: Two students at a prestigious university are flunking out; however, due to a provision in the school’s charter, if they had a roommate who committed suicide, they’d both get straight A’s as a form of reparation for grief and trauma. So, to stay in school, they seek out the most depressed student on campus and… |
