Getting teens interested in socializing is easy, when you plan some zany and fun ice breaker games to help break the ice between the guests. TREASURE HUNT IDEAS
Treasure hunts are one of the best ice breaker games for any party, and this activity is enjoyed by people of all ages. Separate teens into teams and provide them with a hand-drawn map to follow, along with a list of clues to give additional hints. As the treasure hunters work together to find the treasure, they lose a lot of their shyness, normal inhibitions, and get into the party spirit.
SCAVENGER HUNTS
Arrange a scavenger hunt and provide each team with a list of certain objects they have to collect or photograph. You can limit the search to your yard, neighborhood, or take the party out to a park for a real, no-limits scavenging adventure. Think outside the box and create hunts at unusual locations like a mall or graveyard.
AN ICY DELIGHT
Place containers of ice cubes in game area. Everyone grabs a cube and tries to melt it without using their mouth. Whoever melts their cube first wins. You’ll soon discover who the brave souls are, as they withstand the freezing ice against their bodies.
ALLITERATION
Everyone stands in a circle and comes up with an adjective using alliteration with the first letter of their name, e.g., Lighthearted Lilly or Marvelous Marv. After everyone has a turn, have them come up with two alliterations, like Lovely, Lighthearted Lilly or Mighty, Marvelous Marv. If someone gets stumped, everyone pitches in to come up with additional alliterations.
