I have a 18′ bowrider boat with a 4.3 li merc cruiser. ?
What my problem is dirt got into the gas tank and I have come to realize this after putting on 3 carb kits. I was told I could put on a inline fuel filter and replace them every once in a while an that would trap the dirt. I have a 4 barrel carb will this impede the gas flow. Other then pulling the tank is this a good solution?
Yes, it’s a good solution to the problem, if fact I have one on my boat, and I don’t have dirt in the atank. The filter is big enough that it will not starve the engine of fuel! I hope this helps. Good luck!
