figure skating?
ok so I have this new found intrest in figure skating! I love to watch it on you tube and my friends make fun of me. ;( haha but I would really like to try it because i like dancing and all…anybody know if they give basic lessons at skating rinks? and anybody else like to watch skating on you tube? lol
Start with your local rink. Almost every rink offers a group lesson program, even in the summer. It’s inexpensive and you can make a lot of friends who won’t laugh at you! 
Many rinks also offer summer day camps. In addition to skating lessons and practice time, the camps include off-ice exercises and dance sessions, which you’d probably be great at doing! Plus, they watch videos to learn more about “How do they do that?” Some even videotape the campers and review their progress throughout the week!
If you like the idea, try it! Group lessons aren’t that expensive. Just make sure you pick out decent skates, so you’ll have more fun. Weak/crummy skates hurt and are hard to use.
