Ski size………….?
I ski on 160 K2 Crossfires and I want to get some new twin tips. Should I go for 164′s or 168′s?
Since you skied Crossfires previously, ya probably like the hardpack…right? If you’re thinking of getting a versatile twintip that will still be responsive when you’re tearing up the wide open groomers, the extra length of the 168’s might keep your tips from getting chattery at high speed. And if you’re thinking of skiing pow, long is strong, baby.
The 168s might be slightly easier to initiate and to spin on, but you would probably never even notice the extra 2 cm or so at each end. Finally, if you’re still undecided, check out a generic sizing chart for skis, then factor in your weight, and subtract a few cm for twins. (Twintips have a shorter contact area than regular skis since both ends are turned up)
peace
