BUYING a SNOW board?
HELP…
i have started snowboarding been doing it for about 6 months now, and i am looking into doing it now every week as ilive near a snowdome, the place hires out boards so i use theirs, i get a burton 150, mens 10 us boots and large bindings…
however i am a female and in my country female boots dont come any bigger than size 10 us, so i get a size 10 us mens becuse its bigger.
now if im am to buy a board can i still go for a womans board and bindings and wear mens boots? also the weight ranges for the boards?? I AM OVER THOSE WEIGHTS does it matter??
You should be ok wearing the mens boots with womens bindings, but it would be a good idea to take your boots along with you when you buy the bindings to check you will get a good fit just to be sure, especially if your boots and bindings are made by different brands.
Its hard to say what lenght board is good for you as i don’t know your height and weight but im sure you will be ok with a womens board. You could try getting a longer board say a 155 if you are worried about the weight range charts but to be honest they are only a guide. Also if you are mainly riding in snowdomes i would recommend having a small board anyway, as the snow will be quite shallow and you wont be riding at really high speeds anyway as most snowdomes are quite short in length.
