Burton Sapphire Snowboarding Boots-need fast advice on the boot size and fit please!!!?
i’ve been renting snowboarding gear for past 4 years now, and finally splurged on my own stuff, a good Burton set this year!!! Not put to use yet, planning on going this weekend (Northeast-White Mointains area). My level is intermediate, no tricks or anything but absolutely love to carve the mountain!
My regular shoe size is 7.5, but size 8 with my Nike’s, my foot is kinda wide I guess. Bought Burton Sapphire boots, size 7.5. Perfect snug fit at the heel. However my big toe is not only touching it at all times (even when not leaning forward with bent knees), it is constantly pushing the front of the boot and curled at all times…All other toes are perfectly “brushing” the inside liner with not much discomfort though…I have been wearing the boot at home this week every evening, hoping to “break-in”, but my toe gets numb within 30min. Feels like it needs to break in almost 3/4inches! Should I go for an 8?(I’ve got a last chance to exchange this Friday with an 
When you get boots that you plan on riding for awhile, fit them a bit tighter because they will pack out…it takes awhile to pack out but the best and fastest way to do get your boots to fit the best is to wear them off the hill and walk around in them off hill for as long as you can stand them every day…I fit a size 8.5 snowboard boot in dc, wide foot and I bought a size 8 boot, even though i wear a thicker sock… the result of me packing the liner out is a perfect fitting, snug heal boot that is awesome…burton tends to fit small…I would say street shoe size for burtons boots, smaller with dc and with thirty-two’s cause they are a custom heat moldable liner. It sucks with the new pair of boots but if you can ge the fit you desire…its worth the pain of being in them. However, Burton has already accommodated the packing out process for boots, that is why they tend to run smaller. So, my suggestion is to go true size because the burton liner will not pack out as much as you would think. Hope this helps
