How will the penalties issued to Clint Bowyer this week effect other RCR drivers in the Chase?
I’m thinking that RCR is going to make real sure that this doesn’t happen again by changing not only Bowyer’s cars but Kevin Harvick’s and Jeff Burton’s also. If these infractions were giving them an advantage we could see the whole group of RCR drivers sliding backwards in this chase. RCR has had a very good season, but I think what happened this week may have a negative effect on all their teams.
The cars that RCR will be bringing to Dover were ready some time ago. So they pretty much would have to either rip apart the whole car, and start from scratch.
In my view, the thing with the 33 is CRAP.
They were given the ‘All Clear’ at post race, and then less then 72hrs later, they failed at NASCARs’ R&D shop by 0.06 of an inch. That infraction on the left quarter panel would have been from when the wrecker or one of the other drivers hit the rear end of the 33.
